Tour Our Campus
NEADS resides on 18 acres of beautiful, protected New England land in the heart of Massachusetts. Our campus encompasses everything we need to produce skilled, happy, accomplished assistance dogs, and offers our clients a quiet respite from everyday life when they come to us for training.
We are proud to have custom built:
-
a model hearing dog training apartment
-
a 26-run indoor/outdoor kennel
-
administrative offices
-
fully accessible living quarters for on-campus clients
-
living quarters for a 24-hour live-in caretaker
-
an assistance dog training arena and education center
-
a visitor welcome center
-
a separate building for clients with children, which also houses the organization Canines for Disabled Kids (which currently partners with NEADS)
-
a building to house the Laura J. Niles Early Learning Center for our puppies

On the last Thursday of every month, NEADS offers on-site campus tours so that groups can see how our organization provides our incredible assistance dogs. We offer tours to school classes, summer camps, private parties, and individuals. Visitors have the opportunity to see our 18 acre campus and training facility, and will learn how dogs enhance the independence of people with a disability. An assistance dog demonstration is included in the visitor’s package, as well as disability awareness education. When appropriate, tours can be designed to fit the curriculum needs of teachers and are tailored to each group’s age range. Tours are interactive, and questions are encouraged!
