Puppy Raiser Responsibilities

Before you decide to foster one of our adorable, energetic puppies, you may want to consider what NEADS expects are your duties. They include:

  • Providing a safe, healthy and loving home for a puppy
  • Socializing the puppy in public
  • Working on teaching the puppy “good manners”
  • Attending regular meetings with your chapter coordinator
  • Submitting written, monthly progress reports
  • Committing to one full year of fostering for NEADS
  • Following NEADS guidelines and procedures as outlined by the
    home office

NEADS responsibilities

  • Providing continuing support and assistance, within reason, to help you succeed with your responsibilities.
  • Providing medical services, or access to medical services, for puppies in need.

We have need of puppy raisers only in the following states at the moment. From time to time need, we have more applicants than puppies to foster, so please send an email to inquire about applications. For more information or application, please contact the appropriate person:
