Welcome to the NEADS website! I'm so pleased you've come here to learn more about our wonderful organization. NEADS is a 501(c)3 nonprofit that provides highly skilled Assistance Dogs for people who are Deaf or have a disability. Our website offers information on the kinds of dogs we train, how to help us fund our Service Dogs, how to apply for a dog and much more.
In fall 2014 NEADS celebrated its 22nd anniversary on our Princeton campus and our 38th year of producing incredibly well-trained Assistance Dogs for our clients. These anniversaries are lost amid the normal swirl of activities, the training of new clients, the interviews for potential clients, the arrival of new puppies and the departure of other puppies to training in prison. The stories that our clients share with us about how one of our dogs has affected their lives make every day a special day at NEADS.
As I have now said on many occasions, NEADS is a place that creates special bonds not only between our clients and their dogs but also between our hundreds of dedicated volunteers, donors and staff. It is an exciting time to be part of NEADS Nation as we are making a difference one dog at a time. We hear it from you. We believe it ourselves. And we will continue to do it!
We have long been recognized as a leader and innovator in our industry. Our clients deserve no less. I hope as you visit our website that you will find your own way to help us make a difference. I encourage you to read our clients' stories in our annual report in the financials section of this site or on our success stories page. If you do you will understand why every day at NEADS is so special.
